The MasterBrand Connection
Kemper is a subsidiary of MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc., an industry leader that comprises a breadth of quality cabinet brands. Since 1926, the MasterBrand family has earned its reputation as one of America's top cabinetmakers, and Kemper has helped MasterBrand achieve this. Warm woods. Classic details. Modern conveniences. These are the defining qualities of Kemper and all of MasterBrand's cabinet lines. Visit MasterBrand to learn more about our heritage.
Kemper Distinctive Cabinetry was founded on February 9, 1926 in Richmond, Indiana, a small Midwestern town with a rich heritage of manufacturing. The company initially made wardrobes and chifforobes, but in 1928 the first free-standing kitchen cabinets (known today as “Hoosier cabinets” because of their Indiana origins) were put into production. After World War II the single-family home building boom started; portable kitchen cabinets lost their popularity and in January of 1956 Kemper Bros. was one of the first companies to act on the desire for built-in wood cabinets. Today, Kemper continues to stay at the pulse of industry trends, bringing innovative solutions for the modern homeowner.

Only authorized dealers can sell Kemper products to consumers. Why? Because we believe our dealers provide invaluable service that helps make your project happen how and when you want it to. Dealers measure the space, assist with design, order the products and arrange for installation. They also stand behind the products, addressing any challenges that may arise right then, right now. This degree of attentiveness can only be accomplished at a local level.
